About the meadow
A short note on who writes this, how we stay independent, and what we refuse to pretend to be.
UK Velvet Meadow is an independent comparison site for adults in Great Britain. We look at UKGC-licensed online casinos and write about them the way a knowledgeable reviewer would talk across a table: warm, plain, and specific about the shelves of games rather than the marketing posters.
We are not a casino. We do not run RNG or live games, we do not take deposits, and we do not settle wins or losses. Brands on these pages are third parties. Our role stops at research, comparison and affiliate links.
How the site is funded
When you follow certain outbound links and later register, we may receive a commission. That is the affiliate model in plain English. It pays for hosting and writing time. It does not buy a “Strong” verdict or bury a thinner catalogue. Details live on our affiliate disclosure.
What we emphasise
This build of the meadow cares most about game studios and standout titles — who supplies the slots, how deep the live floor feels, and whether the lobby looks curated or padded. We still check licence status, mobile usability, support channels and welcome-offer type, but the editorial spine is the catalogue.
What we will not do
We will not invent user testimonials, fake review counts, or “risk-free” language. We will not help you reset an operator password or argue a wagering dispute — that sits with the brand and, where needed, the Commission’s Alternative Dispute Resolution routes.
